the house rules
the bottles
512 bottles, numbered 1 to 512. Each is an NFT with its own label drawn on chain: a house, an estate, a grape, and red, white, rosé or sparkling.
taking one
Bottles come off the rack in order. No. 1 costs 2,000 $CELLAR, and every bottle taken adds 20. Half of each price is burned and half goes into the cellar.
ageing
A bottle ages only while one wallet holds it. Sell it, send it or buy it and it arrives with half its age. The foil on the neck shows its tier: young, ready (3 days), fine (10), reserve (30), grand cru (90).
uncorking
Any day, the holder can uncork. The bottle is burned and the holder takes 0.1% of the cellar for every day it aged, up to 10% at 100 days. Every uncork shrinks the cellar for everyone still waiting, and every new bottle refills it.
the market
List a bottle at any price. A buyer pays it: 95% to the seller, 5% burned. Moving a bottle takes it off the market.
what the contract cannot do
Hold ETH, pay the cellar to anyone but a holder who uncorks, change a price, pause, or be upgraded. The owner key names the token once and can do nothing after.
the risk
Unaudited. What a bottle pays depends on the cellar on the day you uncork, which other people's uncorks shrink.
